WEEKLY DROP-IN MEDITATION GROUP

Wednesdays 12:00 – 1:00

Registration is now Open! Freely offered, donations greatly appreciated

Join Dr. Juko Holiday and a sweet community of others to connect with support and wisdom to ease your heart, mind, and spirit.

Each session guides you through various layers of present-moment experience, with a practice meant to fit into your life as it is now, not some future day when you’ll have enough time to meditate. Beginners and experienced practitioners welcome.

Somatic Healing Support Group

Join us for a community healing practice to support your nervous system and emotional regulation,  build compassion, increase self awareness,  and ultimately to develop deeper connection with yourself, and with others.

This group is intended for anyone experiencing mental, emotional or spiritual challenges – often resulting from wounding, traumas, addictions, anxieties and/or grief.

It is a compassionate space to gather resources and tools, while fostering a sense of belonging in seeing that we are not alone in our suffering.

Each 45 minute group will start off with a 25-30 min, somatically oriented practice and/or contemplation –  Followed by time for questions and sharing about your process.

Some examples of somatic healing practices include:  guided meditations or visualizations, grounding techniques, breathwork, conscious movement, restorative postures, connecting with present moment sensing experiences, integrating conflicting parts of self, balancing sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, progressive body relaxation, pain management techniques, connecting with heart to soften the judging/critic mind,…

Trainings

COMING THIS FALL…

Yoga and Somatics in Community Mental Health: Transforming Suffering into Embodied Social Change

For yoga and mindfulness teachers, mental health workers, or anyone ready to deepen their healing journey and further transform their experiences of pain and suffering.  This training is especially for those who have a history of trauma, and/or identify as part of a group who has historically been marginalized, underserved, or underprivileged – and for those who wish to integrate their personal healing journey with a collective healing mission to support and empower others.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

– Deepen ongoing connection with (self) awareness.

– Explore the nature of emotions as signals that reveal our body’s and mind’s needs

– Learn somatic postures and practices to connect with, process, and release emotions effectively

– Learn and practice active listening skills to develop capacity for therapeutic presence, “holding space” for others

– Identify both your personal gifts and limitations in supporting others in their healing process

Dates and other details will be announced in the next couple of weeks, so make sure and check back, or sign up on our interest list and we will email you directly when registration opens!
