Join us for a community healing practice to support your nervous system and emotional regulation, build compassion, increase self awareness, and ultimately to develop deeper connection with yourself, and with others
This group is intended for anyone experiencing mental, emotional or spiritual challenges – often tied up with the wounding, traumas, addictions, anxieties and/or grief that come with being a human.
It is a compassionate space to gather resources and tools, while fostering a sense of belonging in seeing that we are not alone in our suffering.
Each 45 minute group will start off with a 20-30 min, somatically oriented practice, exercise, meditation, or contemplation – followed by time for questions and sharing.
The group will take place on zoom, every Thursday from 6 – 6:45pm, beginning on Thursday 10/2 and continuing on indefinitely!.
You will need to REGISTER the first time you attend, at which point you’ll be given the zoom link that we will continue to use every week. So you can just drop in to future groups without registering.
Groups will be hosted by different facilitators each week – some will more regularly host; others will be “special guests”. The goal is to update the schedule monthly with who will be facilitating and what themes/topics we’ll be focusing on (though it may take a little time to get this dialed in – we appreciate your patience 🙂)
Rebecca Roth will be facilitating the group on 10/2 and 10/23
Aria Kabiri will be facilitating on 10/9
Pat Katsky will be facilitating on 10/16
Some examples of somatic healing practices include: guided meditations or visualizations, grounding techniques, breathwork, conscious movement, restorative postures, connecting with present moment sensing experiences, integrating conflicting parts of self, balancing sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, progressive body relaxation, pain management techniques, connecting with heart to soften the judging/critic mind,…
